The Greater Peoria Economic Development Council, in collaboration with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, is pleased to introduce a groundbreaking strategy to build a strong, flexible, and skilled talent pipeline. This initiative is based on Talent Pipeline Management (TPM), a framework initially developed and promoted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
We are leading two industry collaboratives in Manufacturing and Logistics and another in Healthcare and Life Sciences. As the initiative expands, we plan to include more sectors. We invite employers to join these collaboratives, which aim to gather vital data that will provide real-time insights into the health and sustainability of our region’s talent pipeline.
By joining these collaboratives, community partners such as training and development programs, high schools, trade schools, and higher education institutions will have access to data that can inform their decision-making. This will allow them to optimize the effectiveness of their programs, ensuring that individuals receive the proper training at the right time for meaningful, impactful employment.
If you’re interested in becoming involved in this TPM initiative as an employer, please get in touch with Jeffrey Inman, our Director of Workforce Solutions, at jinman@greaterpeoriaedc.org or by phone at 309.620.1523.
