Panel Discusses Industrial Hemp at First in New GP Farm Forum Series

We had a great turnout for the Industrial Hemp Forum last Friday!  Thank you to everyone that came out and to all the great information provided by our panelists from the Illinois Stewardship Alliance, the Congressional Research Service, Western Illinois University, Natural Fiber Welding, Global Hemp Inc, and Revolution Enterprises.  We had a packed agenda and a packed room of over 200 attendees from around the entire state!

This was the first in a new series we are designing called GP Farm Forums to grow conversations and build the networks around diversification and innovation in agriculture and explore new economic potential for our region’s farmers and Ag businesses.  We are planning these with the guidance of our friends at the Illinois Stewardship Alliance and the Illinois Farm Bureau.

Below is video of the event in its entirety. If you would like to navigate the video more easily, view it on YouTube at and use the chapters listed in the description box to jump around.  The presentation slide deck is also available at

If you attended, please take a minute to fill out the survey to help us improve the program moving forward: Industrial Hemp Forum Follow-Up Survey

We appreciate your feedback and hope to make these forums useful places to discuss farm diversification and innovation as drivers of economic development in our region.

See you at the next GP Farm Forum!
