GP Pathways is a collaborative initiative driving career development opportunities for regional middle and high school students. The program seeks to identify and share information about the most critically needed job skills in Greater Peoria and support a system that trains those critical skills to support our employers’ future workforce needs.

GP Pathways Programs & Resources

Career Coach
Career Coach is a software platform is available to all middle and high school students in the Illinois Central College district. It is used in the schools to help students explore careers.

Greater Peoria Pathways Website
GPpathways.org was designed to share information about career development opportunities and resources with regional educators, parents, and students.

CareerSpark
CareerSpark is an interactive, multi-industry career expo open to all 8th grade students in our region.  Through hands-on exhibits, this event helps spark students’ interest in the exciting careers available in Greater Peoria.

This career expo is designed to spark the interest of students in the 16 national career pathways. The expo, led largely by regional employers, showcases different career fields in our top industry clusters, including manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, agribusiness, IT, and more.

Greater Peoria Works
Greater Peoria Works is a software module is a part of the Career Coach platform. It allows students to connect with regional employers offering work-based learning experiences included job shadows and internships. The tool is currently available only to Peoria Public School Students through a pilot program funded by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).

Peoria Pathways to Prosperity
Peoria Pathways to Prosperity is a program launched in 2014 to support career development pathways in the Peoria Public Schools.

Secure Software Apprenticeship Program (CICESS)
CICESS is the first in the nation Secure Software apprenticeship program, developed through a collaboration with Illinois Central College and a group of local employers.

Greater Peoria Talent Forecast
The GP Talent Forecast is an annual survey of leading employers that collects information on specific job projections over the following 24 months. This information is used to align career development programs with the needs of our regional employers.
